There are
so many eating places and pubs in this area, we cannot mention them
all, so the establishments listed here are the ones known by us
(though not necessarily visited by us), which serve a wide variety of
dishes, normally catering for all the needs of our guests. The food and
service has been found to be excellent, though we hesitate to guarantee
it for any particular occasion. All of the pubs serve local real ales,
bar and/or restaurant meals. The phone numbers have been given for your
convenience, but we are more than happy to book for you. Some will be
fully booked days in advance, especially at weekends and especially during
the summer. |

The Isle of Wedmore Golf Club Restaurant:
Just half a mile away and within easy walking distance. Open to non-members.
Smart/casual, no denims. Good selection of fish and meat dishes to suit
all tastes. They do cater for vegetarians and special diets, as the chef
Caroline is a vegetarian - all dishes are home-made.

The George Hotel - Wedmore:
Has changed hands so no up-to-date information. Tends to be quiet early
in the evening and can be lively with young folk later. Eating areas
have now been extended, looking much better. Full restaurant planned.
01934 712124 The
Lamb at Weare - Turnpike Road, Lower Weare:
New management with folks apparently flocking there for the food.
